The Conjuring To Become First Part Of A Franchise, Paranormal Activity 5 Pushed Back To Next Year – UPDATE

News article written about the movie 'The Conjuring' and why Paranormal Activity 5's release will be delayed for a year.

The set-up is already in place, deliberately or not. Some some shots in James Wan‘s new, brilliantly effective haunted house movie The Conjuring, and not least the very final one, suggest quite clearly how a whole series of films might work, a kind of Ghostbuster’s Casebook.

But this first film was “based upon a true story,” or at least the book House of Darkness, House of Light: The True Story of Andrea Perron. Are there more of these “true stories” to be mined for future movies?

According to Variety, Warner Bros. have had conversations with Lorraine Warren, the real life woman who became The Conjuring‘s spook-chasing protagonist, about spinning off her big-screen alter-ego for a whole series of films.

It’s clear from the first movie’s narrative that Warren encountered several hauntings before the Perron one, but not what came next for her. I suppose the plans could lead to prequels, but I also imagine that Lionsgate would rather keep Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, who play the Warrens, on board, and that’s going to work better, at least on an indefinite timescale, if the series marches forwards.

From the preview that I have seen of 'The Conjuring, I can't wait til it has been released. For many years, paranormal investigators have always known the name of the Warren's and raising the awareness of the paranormal. This movie is based on one of their cases and it may be the one which had affected Lorraine more than any other.

The Paranormal Society

When you think of 'The Paranormal Society', usually you'd think of PRS - Paranormal Research Society. PRS was originally founded by Ryan Buell and associates. In this instance, I am talking about a community of people who share common interests. This community was created for one of the LinkedIn groups, hoping to link and connect with others worldwide.
LinkedIn's 'The Paranormal Society' is made up of various members - some are experienced, while some are seeking help. There are weekly discussions, discussing various topics. Our members have a range of skills and expertise, some are:

• An ArchBishop of the Catholic Church

A new Facebook page was recently created, with the same name 'The Paranormal Society'. The page isn't as popular, as it has just been created. I honestly forgot about this blog, I thought that it had been deleted. Not much has been happening in Newcastle, so I haven't had much research or investigations to conduct. Ever since my IR video camera was viciously damaged by another person, I have not been able to help anyone or do anything in my area. I have been doing various projects, which are not related but has taken a lot of my time. I have suggested to everyone "join the LinkedIn group", it may help some and it may motivate or inspire others. Whatever it may be, keeping in touch and up-to-date will keep the Paranormal community connected. The more information and research shared, the more we are all able to understand things better.

So, check out the Facebook page and LinkedIn group to make your mark, to share your knowledge or just to learn what it is all about. Our members are courteous of everything, nothing is too embarrassing and no questions seem silly or out of place. Whether you are a part of the paranormal or are interested in what it may be, join the community and make an input of your own opinions or research and investigations.

Welcome to All New Visitors. I created The Newcastle Paranormal (Research) Society in hopes to find like-minded individuals or groups, like myself. I have been searching to join an already establish research investigation group, but to no avail. There are a few groups within Australia, but only 2 within Newcastle NSW - both of these groups are founded by individual people who only investigate with experienced individuals and not groups, meaning that they are not looking for members themselves.

I have never wanted to create a team of mine own, there is so much that is involved with just starting a new group: infrastructure, direction and more. I know that there are many individuals like myself, who would rather join a group that create one. But like me, we don't have as much experience as we'd like.

I originally created this blog/site in hopes to meet like-minded people, give advice, receive advice and more. So, hopefully in the near future, I will have gotten further with joining a group & experience and have expanded my knowledge etc on this site.
